Title: Uppercase/Lowercase job titles
Post by: dabesa on December 20, 2011, 11:39:46 pm
Hi guys,
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one having this issue.

Job posters tend to write the job titles in ALL UPPERCASE just to attract attentions, while others put the titles in all lowercase that are ugly to look at.
The best format is for me with only the Initials in Capital Letters.

Example:
DATABASE SPECIALIST     <- annoying
database specialist           <- ugly
Database Specialist          <- cool

So we have something already prepared to manipulate the title string?

Thanks!
D

This can be modified in the theme by a simple css tick.

In Display_post.php locate the following code:

Code:
<h1 class="job_title"><?php echo $TITLE;?></h1>

Notice that the Job_title is the class name of the Title, Now Open main.css CSS style file.

And Search for job_title class.
It would look like this in a default template:
Code:
#job_post H1.job_title {
color: #931b16;
font-size: 24pt;

}

Add the following to above code.

Code:
text-transform:capitalize;

After the modification the job_title class should look like this:

Code:
#job_post H1.job_title {
color: #931b16;
font-size: 24pt;
        text-transform:capitalize;

}

Now Save your main.css and upload it to your website.

Many thanks Imran!
But I see that in this case all the words are capitalized, including the short ¨of, in, and, or¨ etc.
I found an alternative adding a function in the code that take care of the exceptions.

Thanks!
