Hello everyone,

I hope that someone can help me!

At this moment I test the Jamit Job Board ( 3.5.2 ) and there is a small, but very important problem.

The problem:

Is it possible to make, with in the e-mail Resume Alert links ( By Job Seekers = Resume ) to the database? (something with : %RESUME_DB_LINK% Huh).
Specialy links to the database summary.

For example:

Date                    Name ( Beter is Job - function discription)          Link tot the database ( is lacking )

2009-08-13 10:13:50           - Karin MC Donald -                            ( and then the link to her resume.... so you can click on it )
2009-08-13 10:15:38           - Barak Obama -                                ( and then the link to his resume.... so you can click on it)
2009-08-13 10:20:12           - Bill Clinton -                                    ( and then the link to his resume.... so you can click on it)

Etc. etc.

At this moment the Employers see only, when they receive the Resume Alert by e-mail, the Date and the name's of Job Seekers. And thats it. There are no links ( by Jobs Seekers ) to the database.

I tried everything to make it work. But I can't fix it.

I hope somebody can help me.

Thanks!

John de Vries

The %RESUME_DB_LINK% should work correctly if you set it in the right place as indicated, and also the employer must be allowed to access the resume list, and employer has permission to view the resume. Double check your settings, and if does not work send to support a bug report with all the details so that we can test your site and confirm if it is a bug or not. Thanks.

I had to delete your last post because it contained the login details to your admin. Please note that this is a public forum and anything you post here will be for everyone to see. If you have bug reports please submit to http://www.jamit.com/support/ and include all the details for re-createing the bug so that we can confirm it quickly. The more details you give the better
Has anyone else had a problem with %RESUME_DB_LINK% in v3.5.6?

Hello Everyone,

I hope that someone can help me!

Since 18 august 2009 I struggle with the problem of the Resume alert. "the links inside the Resume Alert e-mail "
See the topics above.

Unfortunately the problem is still there.
And I can't fix it.

My question:

Do you have the same problem as I wrote in the topics above?

Or is there a possibility to put a link(s) in to the Resume Alert to the specific candidate resume? Links which sent along with the Resume Alert e-mail.
If so: how can I make that specific links so that Employers can click on it and brings them directly to the specific resume?

I look in admin to the e-mail templates, specific in the Available Tags.

So I thought:

I try to put a line ( %CANDIDATE_LINK% ) inside the emailconfig.php.  ( in the text and in the html ) But it did not work.
I try to put a line ( %RESUME_DB_LINK% ) inside the emailconfig. php. ( in the text and in the html ) But it did not work.
I try to put these lines also in the text and the html e-mail template. But it did not work.

I doubt if there is a possibility to make this work?

However, the links work correctly in the JOB Alerts e-mail!
Candidates can click on the link ( inside the Job Alert e-mail ) and go directly to the vacancy.

I don't no what to do, to fix this problem.

Feel free to contact me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

did u figure out a way ? i too think this is very critical - or else the resume alerts are of no use for employer - there should be a link to view those resumes...

here is how my email template code looks

%RESUME_ALERTS% : The following line will be iterated to produce the list of matching resumes in the %RESUME_ALERTS%

<font face='arial' size='2'>%SPECIALISATION_Profile% - %RESUME_NAME% - %WORK_EXP_YEARS% - %Institute_Name% </font>

Hello,

Thanks for the replay. Yes, it's a very important problem.

Note: The resume links are very important here in Holland.
90% of the Job Board overhere use that functionality.

But.....

Adam is now working on completing v3.6, which you will be entitled to downloading for free ( When you purchase a license) it becomes available.
The ( resume link ) "bug" will be fixed in the v3.6 version and that it will be released soon.
