I've installed Jamit on a shared host. Everything appears to work, however when I try to edit the configuration through the admin panel I get the error:

"Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /admin/edit_config.php on this server."

File permissions are set to 644 and directories to 755 per the recommended settings in the config tool. Ive tried changing the permissions to 666 and 777 with no luck.

Any ideas about what the problem could be?

Along with the file permissions you should who is the owner if this file.
Check that out and if it is not ur account then you should chown.

The file that needs to have 666 permissions is config.php and NOT /admin/edit_config.php !!!

Thanks for the responses. Permissions for files need to be 644 on this server and I did make sure that config.php and rss.xml in the root have those permissions. My user account does own all files in the installation. I'm checking with the host to make sure there isn't something odd in their setup. I popped the script on another server I have access to and it runs fine out of the box, and I am not receiving this error.
