Can anyone offer me any good Htaccess advice for this admin security Huh

I havent had too much dealings with this, as i've only been previously using joomla cms, which writes its own htaccess file.....  (i'm a little lost with a fare few things in this product, but am attempting to learn quickly lol)

currently i'm using all mod-rewrite, all urls are friendly, and is going ok,  but the admin panel keeps showing:

The system is recommending that you should password protect your admin/ directory using the features in your web hosting account (or using .htaccess). The admin/ directory is already password protected, but this is limited to php files. By password protecting the entire admin/ directory, you will restrict access to all of files in this directory.

Can anyone offer any quick advice of how to secure this admin directory using password?  any good simple and quick code offering from anyone? which i could add to the htaccess file tonight....   would be helpful to numerous customers i'm sure  Grin

currently my ht.access is just simple............

ErrorDocument 404 /index.php

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^category/(.+)$ /index.php?cat_name=$1 [NC,L]
RewriteRule ^job/(.+)$ /index.php?post_permalink=1&post_id=$1 [NC,L]
RewriteRule ^profile/(.+)$ /index.php?show_emp=$1 [NC,L]
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} .+
RewriteRule ^page([0-9]+) /index.php?%{QUERY_STRING}&job_page_link=$1 [NC,L]
RewriteRule ^page([0-9]+) /index.php?job_page_link=$1 [NC,L]
</IfModule>

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^pages/(.+) /p.php?p=InfoPages&file=$1 [NC,L]
</IfModule>

cheers if any help  Undecided Lips sealed Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

You should be able to set a passford for the directory from within your hosting account (cpanel, etc).
