When you set up an XML import you have the choice at the bottom to: "Yes, schedule the feed to import automatically every hour."

How do I change it to run every 12 hours?

Anybody? Anybody?

I looked in rss.xml and rss.php but couldn't find anything. i'm no coding expert. Not even a novice. Any help would be appreciated.

You would need to modify your Cron Jobs. It will create a cron job just change the time it runs from 1hr to 12hrs.
