its high time we develop a better search feature - currently it searches only one field - we can pool in to raise a bounty so tht the search box searches entire job post - not just job title or job decription
any1 game to pool in and also to improve the search algorithm ?
my $50 here to start the funding process

I'd contribute -- I'm desperate for this plug!!! We need full-text search and it doesn't appear to be in the next version. Seems to be more difficult on the php side than on the mySql side. I'd definitely contribute!

We have been discussing this with Adam for a while now. I think we are thinking of a Solr plugin rather than the inbuit MySQL full text search which has many disadvantages like slower speed, only applicable to myisam tables and questionable scalability. Adam is looking int the search plugin but not until 3.6 is done. So if one of you is good with solr and wants to give it a try I am sure I am pony up $50 for such a plugin.

This is the most crucial requirement for Jamit. I lose a lot of business because of the poor search features. If Adam has not made any headway with this then we definitely need to pool resources to get this done asap. My $50 is defintely in.
