Hi pilot,
I purchased a SSL Certificate at www.namiac.com and use it for my jobboard, see https://www.promotionbox.de. So I didn't change anything in the jobboard. You can reach the board with 'http' and 'https'. Each browser works with 'https' (tested with MS IE, Opera, Firwfox, Safari). When you use advertisment in your jobboard and you have links outside your domain and you use 'https' it could be happened with some browsers that you get informations if you want to load non secure pages. So try to open https://www.promotionbox.de with MS IE and Safari, so you see the different of browser handling.

I hope my informations will help you.

Bye
Thorsten

Well, really the best way is to enforce HTTPS somehow, either through the PHP code and/or through Apache mod rewrite. Here is what you could try inside your .htaccess file:

Code:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
# force HTTPS
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.promotionbox.de/$1 [R,L]
</IfModule>

If it doesn't work on the first try, you may need to make some corrections.

The above code forces HTTPS on the whole site. That doesn't hurt, but it is not really needed. To force HTTPS only on certain directories, try this:

Code:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
# force HTTPS
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^admin/ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.promotionbox.de/$1 [R,L]
</IfModule>
