Trovit is the leading search engine for classified ads in Europe and Latin America.

Their XML Feed resource page is here: http://about.trovit.com/trovit-feeds/feed-jobs/

Here is how to setup an XML Export feed for Trovit:

There are two odd things about Trovit:

1. the 'city' is mandatory - so your posting form would need to have a 'city' field before you can start setting up the feed (Go to Admin->Posting Form and hit 'Edit Fields' to configure the fields on the posting form)

2. They require the date to be formatted in non-standard format, thus breaking the standard internet convention (to use an RFC date format). This will require a one-line code change in if you have version Jamit Job Board 3.5.3 or lower:
- open include/xml_feed_functions.php and find the following line:

$val = str_replace('%LINK%', $link, $val);

Add this line below and save:

$val = str_replace('%DATE_TROVIT%', date('d/m/Y', $post_time), $val);

This change will be included in future versions.

Configuring your job board:

First, you will need to add a new XML Structure for Trovit

1. Go to Admin->XML Export, click the 'XML Schemas' tab

2. Click on the 'Create a New Schema' button at the top

3. Enter a new name for the XML Schema, eg. 'Trovit - Jobs' and save

4. Click on the 'Configure XML Structure' link next to the new schema that you just created

5. Click on the "Import structure from CSV..." link

6. Paste in the following data and save:

element_id,element_name,is_cdata,parent_element_id,form_id,field_id,schema_id,attributes,static_data,is_pivot,description,fieldcondition,is_boolean,qualify_codes,qualify_cats,truncate,strip_tags,is_mandatory,static_mod,multi_fields,has_child,comment

2414,company,Y,2405,1,,8,,,N,,,N,Y,Y,0,N,N,F,1,,
2415,experience,Y,2405,1,,8,,,N,,,N,Y,Y,0,N,N,F,1,,
2416,contract,Y,2405,1,,8,,,N,,,N,Y,Y,0,N,N,F,1,,type of contract (optional)
2417,category,Y,2405,1,,8,,,N,,,N,Y,Y,0,N,N,F,1,,"category name, if any (optional)"
2418,date,Y,2405,1,,8,,%DATE_TROVIT%,N,,,N,N,N,0,N,Y,F,1,,

Next, you can setup a new XML feed using the schema that was just created.

1. Click on the 'XML Feeds' Tab

2. Click on the 'Create a New Feed' button

3. Select the Trovit schema from the list, continue

4. Fill in the feed name, descriptions, other options, and map the fields from your posting form to the elements in the feed. Save

You should be now ready to export to Trovit! The link will be displayed when you list your feeds, you can submit the link to Trovit.

Hi There!

  I could use the XML feed to export the jobs of my site to TROVIT and It works perfect. Trovit staff told that the XML structure is perfect. Thanks Adam, Great Job!

Just an update because the original post is 2 years old:
I used this instructions today, validating the XML with Trovit Validator (http://about.trovit.com/validator/) and it works perfectly!

Thanks a lot
