It would be great to have a look into the forum because it seems that a massive spam invasion reached the forum since yesterday. I hope it will not ruin our communication as currently this is my only hope with jamit since there is no support.

I had an issue a short time back with SPAM. Apparently somebody got my password and had posted some SPAM using my account. I got banned and had to contact Adam to get back in. Upon getting readmitted I tried to change my password. I couldn't figure it out in short time so I gave up and went on to other things. Seeing that it is still a problem on this board, I am now interested in changing my password again since it is still the same password the spammer has. I don't think Adam would be so gracious if I allowed it to happen a 2nd time.

Does anyone know how to do this. I'm sure it is easy enough but I just can't seem to figure it out.  Huh

Hmmm
Click on Top button link which says: Profile => Account Related Settings => Choose New Password, In the Button you need to provide current password and hit Change Profile.

That did it. I changed it to a letter/numeral password. Thanks very much.

FYI... I run another forum and had a crap load of spammers getting on it until I set up a security question where the registrant had to give a specific answer. That cut down on a lot of the spammers.

A simple example would be this: What state is north of California. Answer: Oregon. Bots can't figure these things out so it shuts down ALL bots from auto-registering. I don't know if Simple Machines has that kind of security set up.
