Dear All,

Recently my client discovered that the uploaded resume link from the candidate profile goes to the 404 page. I have checked the link and it looks like something:

/upload_files/dl.php?=number_filename.doc

The correct link to the file is

/upload_files/docs/number_filename.doc

I have checked the settings and the path is set correctly for both docs and images (images work fine). Also the CHMOD set correctly.
This is a recent issue (I believe although it may persist since the upgrade.

Anyone seen anything like this before?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Check to see if resume link document exists?

the url that u have mentioned is a bit wrong it should be  domain.com/jobs/upload_files/dl.php?f=287828_sradres_t1322030961.doc

I think you have some server related issues please check ur server settings if the path is proper is this a linux or windows server?

Hello Imran,

I have discovered that since the update to 6.11 all the users who subscribed for the job board and uploaded their cv as attachment, well those files are missing.

I have checked some old cvs and I can confirm that when the files are there and I change the dl.php?= to /docs/ then it works just fine. I have checked the paths and it's fine. Also if it would be server related than the images would be also missing in the candidate profiles.

I think there is a bug somewhere and it concerns me as currently all user who subscribe their cv does not get uploaded.

I also can not find the dl.php anywhere.

Hi Imran!

I did already, can't find it. Maybe that is the problem. Is the dl.php responsible for handling the uploads as well?

Yes, dl.php was introduced in version 3.6x. you probably just forgot to upload it when you upgraded.

Shocked I owe you a beer CompuDave.  Grin

1 month of CV is gone but I have learned some lessons and hopefully can ask my candidates to upload their CVs.

Cheers.

I don't think any of the resumes are gone just upload dl.php and if possible try to re upload a fresh downloaded copy of jamit so that if you have made any mistake before it will be rectified.

They are gone. Some of them as they were not uploaded. when people uploaded them.
Without the dl.php you can upload a resume and it appears on your profile even though the file is not physically uploaded to the server. I double checked that and unfortunately this is the case. I have to contact the new candidates from the last month to re-upload their CVs.

Maybe it would be worth to tell Adam about this. It is not a bug but an error message would be appropriate if the files can not be uploaded.
