Blocks malicious robots by enforcing legal UA (User Agent). Requests with illegal UA will be served an error page. You can define whitelist and blacklist. Intelligently predicts illegal UA based on predefined criteria.

Perhaps you have been following the recent news about string of security breaches into Sony, PBS, US Senate, NHS, Nintendo, FBI, Unveillance LLC, ..... All done by the infamous group LuLz Security.

I have looked at my logs and found out that yesterday my plugin UA Police Pro caught and blocked HTTP request with this UA (user agent):

What is that? The UA looks like it might be an automated scanner that sweeps the web for systems that could be penetrated. It could belong to LuLz Security.

When the LuLz scanner tried accessing my site, UA Police Pro noticed that the UA (user agent) was invalid and denied the request with status 403 (forbidden).

Extensive HELP page has been added, which explains how this plugin operates and how to use it.

See the attached screenshot showing the error page given to a user (or robot) with illegal User Agent on an iPhone. The text of the error message is in 13 languages. The language is detected automatically.

Version 2.1.4 of UA Police Pro is out!

This release includes these significant security improvements:

• Destroy session each time illegal user agent is detected.
• Added function which checks that User Agent hasn't changed in subsequent requests. This reduces chances of session fixation attacks.
• Added function which checks for valid referrer. This further reduces chances of session fixation attacks.
