My site is still running on 3.5.7.

I am now going to upgrade it to 3.6.8.

Other than what's covered in https://www.jamit.com.au/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=238&nav=0 what other tips can I have, what pitfalls should I look out for, and what issues should I expect during the upgrade.

Its a live site and jamit is deployed on the root folder, so I don't have the option of uploading 3.6.8 into a new folder and copying everything in it from the live site.

Hey jaffri,

I'm exactly in the same situation trying to upgrade from a jamit 3.5.7 with a customized bluesea to 3.6.8 . My site is experiencing currently a lot of lags and speed problems. I hope that the upgrade will fix the problems but so far i could not even get the theme work with a newly installed 3.6.8 sandbox. Scary.

Let me know how did you manage your upgrade. and good luck with it.

Do you need still help?

I switched from JJB 3.5.3 to 3.6.8 two times. The second case went to success. Now I tell you my way:

1. Backuped all files in a second directory on my server.
2. Backduped via mysqldumper the MySQL database.
3. Created a new web JJB368.
4. I copied all files from JJB353 web to JJB368 web.
5. I compared all folders between the new JJB v3.6.8 version I downloaded and JJB368 web with the old structure of folders and files from JJB v3.5.3.
6. I deleted all folders in JJB368 web which didn't exist in new version.
7. I copied all files and folders from JJB v3.6.8 to JJB368 and overwrite everything.
8. I logged into administration to Main Config... and changed all necessary points of Paths and Locations - SAVED
9. Checking the result - that's it

Hope my informations are good enough.
